With Biscom's FAXCOM for SMTP, network users can transmit email messages to remote fax machines. FAXCOM for SMTP works in conjunction with the MS SMTP service. Users send faxes via their favorite email application, exactly as they send email. And, FAXCOM for SMTP provides fully-featured client software for Outlook users, includes full administrative control of the Pending queue of outgoing messages, and provides a range of logs detailing fax service activity.
"Unparaleled integration and ease of use" - Ken Clark [November 24, 2004] Product Rating: 5/5
I have worked with five different LAN Fax products over the last 15 years - Object Fax, Castelle FaxPress, Omtool Fax Sr/Genifax and now Biscom. I can honestly say that Biscom is a company that has got it right. Cutting edge technology, ease of installation and use, good documentation, and rock solid reliability are what makes a good LAN fax product and Biscom has this in spades. Their SMTP integration is simple to setup and use. The product provides an MMC administration tool which can be installed anywhere on your network, and can then roll out the fax queue and SMTP gateway software wherever you require it on your network. The SMTP Gateway can be tied to any LDAP server for fax user details. Multiple cover pages can be assigned to users for selection at send time. You can manage the fax queues and SMTP gateway remotely from your destkop. Document conversion is excellent, and fax throughput is phenomenal. Can't recommend it highly enough.
